The Hyperdymium 2 motor delivers twice the air pressure and 30% more overall power than the Dyson Airwrap i.d., supporting faster drying, stronger Coanda styling and improved hair wrapping.

Does the HS09 automatically create curls?

Advanced i.d. curl can automate the curl sequence after you create a hair profile in the MyDyson app. The system manages wrapping, styling time, cold setting and release based on the personalised sequence.

Can the Dyson HS09 straighten hair as well as curl it?

Yes. The included Air Straightener 2x uses two high velocity air jets with passive plates to smooth and align hair, while the curling barrels handle waves and curls.

How does the Airwrap Co-anda2x help protect hair from heat damage?

The machine measures air temperature more than 1,000 times per second and regulates heat continuously, allowing styling with controlled airflow rather than relying on extreme heat.

Can I use older Dyson Airwrap attachments with the HS09 Co-anda2x?

No. Dyson states that the Airwrap Co-anda2x is compatible only with Co-anda2x attachments, so previous generation Airwrap attachments are not designed for this model.
