Yes. Rokid Glasses need to be paired and activated with a compatible smartphone through the Hi Rokid App for setup, account connection, settings and many connected features. Rokid currently recommends Android 10 or later or iOS 16 or later, along with wireless internet access for online services. Some functions, such as downloaded offline translation models, can continue working without Wi-Fi or cellular data after setup.

The built-in microphone array captures speech, AI processes the language, and translated text appears directly in the wearer's field of view. Rokid Glasses support up to 89 languages for online translation. Six languages—Chinese, English, Japanese, German, French and Spanish—are also supported for offline translation after the required language model is downloaded in the app. Language availability can vary by region, app version and firmware.

Yes. The built-in 12MP camera is designed for first-person POV capture, letting you take photos and record video without holding a phone. Rokid supports multiple photo and video formats, including video options up to 3K, making the glasses useful for travel, everyday moments, demonstrations and hands-free content capture.

Yes. Rokid Glasses support prescription lens solutions and a magnetic prescription frame. Rokid currently lists prescription support up to approximately ±15.00D, including support for astigmatism and progressive multifocal lenses. The official magnetic frame can also be taken to a professional optical store for custom prescription lenses.

Battery life depends on how the glasses are used. Rokid states approximately 8–10 hours of mixed daily use, 5–6 hours of music playback, around 4 hours of voice calls, about 2 hours with the display continuously on, and around 45 minutes of intensive recording. The 210mAh battery also supports fast charging to about 80% in around 20 minutes under supported conditions.

Rokid Glasses have an IPX4 water-resistance rating, meaning they are designed to handle everyday splashes and light exposure to water. They can be suitable for normal daily use where occasional splashes may occur, but they are not designed for swimming, submersion or heavy water exposure. To protect the electronics and charging contacts, the glasses should be kept away from prolonged or high-pressure water exposure.
